Happy Sunday Fundayyy !!!

Today I'm sharing an all white outfit... minus the pops of semi neutral accessories. I'm crushing on these long kimonos because of how versatile they can be. My original plan for was to pair it with a maxi dress to add texture to an outfit ...like summer layers ( kinda).   However, for today, I loved the look of white denim with a simple blouse (otherwise a basic outfit), dressed up with this lace long kimono. I love how fun and easy it can be to dress up an outfit with accessories!

Anyhow, hope you enjoy your Sunday and the rest of the week! Can ya'll believe its already June. ... half the year gone....In he blink of an eye. Best part though is that summer is knocking! I'll drink to that!! Cheers!!!

Hope you like it, love it!

Happy Sunday Funday!!

Today I'm sharing this casual stripped midi dress outfit. I really love how comfortable this dress is... like wearing a T-shirt!

I'm a huge fan of stripes ( but I mean, who isn't right)!? Stripes are cute all year round and pair great with many other prints. Since I'm wearing just stripes, I wanted to define my wait. So I used a thick leather belt to break up the dress. Since The stripes and the belt are all horizontal (which can make a girl look wide) I used a mix of short and long necklaces, to balance the whole look. Layering jewelry is my fave!

Since, ya'll know I'm obsessed with jeans, I've been trying to keep my eyes pealed for some cute dresses. AND since summer is just around the corner, I'm trying to find cute pieces for the hot weather to come. This memorial day weekend I'll be shopping for some great deals! I'm all about the SALES!!

P.s. There are a tone of memorial day sales going on, so the majority of this look is part of sales and deals going on NOW! Also, Forever21 is also offering free ship on anything over $21 bucks ..... :)

Ice Cream Shaped, Ice Cream Sandwiches

Tuesday, May 19, 2015

Hi Everyone!

Today, I wanted to share a recipe for some super cute ice cream sandwiches I made... shaped like ice cream cones! Cleaver, I know lol.

This recipe is really easy, but overall does end up being time consuming and a little (a lot) messy. But sooo worth it too!

I recommend preparing the ice cream first (even the night prior). Ice cream is soooo so hard to cut into shapes... the creamier the ice cream the quicker it seemed to melt. To make it easier I pressed the ice cream I needed for a single 1" thick sandwich into small squares (trying to make it as level as possible). I wrapped each ice cream square in wax paper, folded it up and placed it individually in the freezer (small sections of ice cream freeze faster and make it easier to cut out). I made about 4 squares of each flavor using raspberry sorbet, mint and chip, butter pecan, and dark raspberry chip.

The next day I cut the ice cream into the ice cream cone shapes. I cut square pieces of wax paper to separate the shapes (one piece on the bottom and one on top, like a sandwich). Then I stacked them and placed the cut shapes back into the freezer (once cut they do begin to soften) . Leave the ice cream in the freezer until it is completely hardened.

After the ice cream is settled, everything else is smooth sailing. The cookies are super simple to make.

To make the cookies you will need:

<Ingredients>

        1 1/3 cups flour
1/3 cup dark chocolate unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup & 2 tablespoons softened unsalted butter
        1/2 cup sugar
        3/8 teaspoons of salt
        2 small  egg yolks
        2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Sift flour and cocoa powder in a bowl, and mix. In another bowl, beat the softened butter, sugar, salt, egg yolks, and vanilla. Then slowly mix in dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined. Kneed dough together on counter and roll it into a ball.

Preheat your oven to 350° degrees and line cookie sheets with wax paper.

Roll out dough in between two pieces of wax paper. (This keeps dough from sticking to counter and rolling pin + eliminates incorporating extra flour into your dough that can make consistency crumbly). Roll dough out to 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick (depending on how thick you want your cookies). Then cut out dough to desired shape ( I used an ice cream cone cookie cutter, but you can cut them in rectangles, squares, circles or any other shape of your choosing, really ).

Set aside HALF of your cookies (these will the bottoms of the sandwich).....with the other HALF poke holes with a fork (these will be the tops of the sandwiches). Bake for 15-18 minutes until the cookies are firm... once the cookies are cooled they firm up even more (So depending on how chewy or crunchy you want your cookie, bake more or less time). After they have cooled, put the cookies in the freezer for a couple hours (you don't want warm cookies... the slightest warmth will start to melt the ice cream).

Once the cookies and ice cream cut outs are completely cooled and frozen, assemble the sandwiches. And enjoy!!!

Pink and Polka Dots

Monday, May 18, 2015

Dress- JCrew Factory | Wedges- Steve Madden | Bag- Kate Spade (old, similar here) | Watch- Michael Kors | Bracelets- SoCal Gems c/o, Baublebar, Charming Charlie |

Today I am sharing a polka dot look that incorporates my two favorite things in my closet; these pink wedges and bag. Can ya'll guess that my favorite color is pink? ....Too obvious, yes?

I have been wearing these wedges too much lately... like, what doesn't need a pop of pink? Haha
Usually, I find bright pink harder to wear but I'm finding it hard to not plan my outfits around these shoes... a pair of lace up wedges don't steal my heart everyday.

Anyhow, this is turning into a love letter to my shoes. So I will stop my self now and wish you a fab start to your week!

Hope you like it, love it!

Shorts + Skirt : I'm wearing a Skort

Saturday, May 16, 2015

Top-old | Skort- Daily Look | Sandals - Forever21 | Clutch- Loft | Watch- Michael Kors

Happy weekend!!

So I haven't worn a skort since I was like five! A long time ago.
As of lately, these super comfy alternatives to shorts or a skirt, have made their way back into my life. They are party in the front and business in the back... kind of a cleaver combo. ;)

I've also been crazy shopaholic obsessive over espadrilles. Not exaggerating, I've purchased too many pairs of these sandals. Most of the shoes I've purchased lately are espadrille... wedges, flats, or sneakers! The ones I'm wearing in today's post are super comfy... and mad cheapo!! I got both colors (black & tan ) because $20 bucks is way to good of a deal to pass up. Plus flat sandals are a must for spring and summer. And I like to be prepared !
