How long have fashion Kimonos been around for?
...because I feel like I have noticed (by noticed I mean super obsessed about) Kimonos for the first time this year. They one of the newest trends that is quickly becoming my favorite. There are so many beautiful prints and creative fringe/trim out there for Kimonos. I personally love the longer kimonos- they seem to slim the body and also look more boho chic (in my opinion). Today's kimono is from Blush Boutique - it has a gorgeous python print and colorful trim at the bottom. The colorful detail is my favorite thing! Since my outfit is neutral based, it adds a subtle pop of color.
To accessorize I kept my jewelry to a minimum, with few rings and bracelets. I am a huge statement jewelry junkie! However, a huge necklace would probably be to overwhelming for the print in the kimono. Soooo... to achieve the 'statement necklace' effect I layered smaller dainty pieces. I am wearing two of my favorite necklaces ( I seriously wear this combo everyday! I highly recommend these two!!)

Hi Amy, thanks for stopping by my blog. I love this outfit! The kimono is gorgeous and I like that you did a tan sandal instead of a black or white with it. Have a great 4th! :-)
