Style Chocolate Chip: Thankful...

Thankful...

Thursday, November 22, 2012

This year I was very thankful to be home and spend this special day with my friends and family.  Every year is so different … I have learned that change is something that will always happen. Nothing ever stays the same- And that’s the best part of life! Life  is so dynamic and unexpected… full of tears and laughter. We fall, we get up : we make mistakes , we learn; we hate , we love; we start new chapters in our lives. Personally, this year was full of new chapters. Like, this blog! I’m so happy I finally stated it. It’s been a small adventure and I’m so excited to see where it goes.

One of the people I am most thankful for is my boyfriend. I think the last years I've spent with him, I have laughed, smiled, cried the most than I ever have. Our relationship has been a roller coaster and most of it has been long distance ( across the country or across an ocean) . Last Thanksgiving was very special for me/ us. For me it was my first Thanksgiving away from home. And for us, it was the first one together. I really love this guy, he is my rock and I'm forever grateful that God put him in my life.

I also wanted to share a little of my Thanksgiving meal…. (Mainly because this is the first year I tried these recipes). My mom and I made a spicy marinade to cover and cook the turkey in… and it turned out delicious! Wooo!  The interesting thing about our turkey was that we waited last minute to buy a turkey…. literally the night before. When we got to the store they informed us that they were sold out, so we had to wait until this morning to go different stores (yes multiple stores). We visited two stores before finding a turkey. Who knew turkeys were in such high demand?

Regardless of the run around, we had a turkey on our table. And our dogs even got their piece of turkey! I hope everyone had a delicious meal surrounded by good company!

Hope you like it!.. Love it !
Thanks for reading
Amy

Happy thanksgiving!

Congrats on make the long distance relationship work, they're hard to handle but if your strong enough it pays off to wait.
