Hello Bootie!

Thursday, September 27, 2012

So Fall is now here which means… boots! These booties are super versatile, they can be casual or dressed up . I really like the two-tone trend, which has a contrast on the ankle and heel. The small peekaboo details in the back add a flirty kick. I love these amazing booties – check them out!

Hope you like it!, Love it!

Simply Bohemian

Wednesday, September 19, 2012

My first outfit post!!!  I’m very excited to get started! I decided to keep it simple today and wear my very simple and very green dress.  A dress like this is perfect when feeling lazy... its super breezy and comfortable.  And since I was going for a bohemian look, I didn’t even have to do my hair today! Score!  Yes, I woke up today feeling lazy, and ill admit this is a lazy first post- but figured why not post for the very first time?! I love this dress because it is a solid neutral color, very easy to accessorize and a great shade for the fall days to come. My favorite part of this outfit is my sandals; they have an amazing beaded design (which make a jingle tambourine sound when I walk).

Hope you like it ... Love it !

Skull Holiday

Monday, September 17, 2012

A fashion trend I have seen become ever more popular is skulls, skulls on everything- top to bottom covered in skulls!

What years ago was considered an icon for punk or weird clothing, is now a trend for the chic. Skulls however, have very unique and beautiful meanings in Hispanic cultures. For example, the Spanish used skulls as symbols, which marked the entrance to a graveyard. Also, Aztec cultures had ceremonies that celebrated the modern “Day of the Dead” . They used marigolds and painted skulls- “the head was believed to be a source of human power and energy”.  Read more

Skulls have been popularized by glamour and luxury ,much credit granted to  Alexander McQueen- that first put skulls on his runways in 2009. Now most every designer from high couture to commercial fashion has something skull related to offer!

As the holidays that commemorate the skull holidays come rolling along, here are some of my favorite skull picks. Check them out!

Friday, September 14, 2012

So I finally started this blog adventure, I have no idea where this will go….. hopefully good things will come from it ( still very nervous about the whole thing).  I am currently a student, I was attend the University of Miami for 2 years but now I am living at home ( Cali) ….I am really trying to figure out what to do with my life, so hopefully this blog will help me in some way rediscover what has always been an interest of mine- fashion. I have shied away from technology but here goes… a new chapter begins.
