Green Tunic- Free People | Espadrille Wedges- Marc Fisher | Crossbody handbag- SheIn c/o |

Happy Wednesday Loves!

So you may have noticed the blog looks slightly different. I’m currently working on updating the layout design to make it more user friendly (aka cute-er)! Since the holidays are coming up I thought it is a great time to get all the design kinks fixed now. Fair warning things may keep changing on here until I get everything just how I want it.

I started my blog so long ago… I started it as a hobby and never spent time on getting the layout perfect. I first started with the generic blogger templates…then added an Etsy premade template…and now I’m working on customizing this new one. I love to blog and would love to expand and grow this hobby into a more stable job. BUT, first things are first and I want to spend time fixing the foundations of my blog. Hopefully this new template will optimize the experience of my readers. So, thank you for your patience and for your continuous support.

Now about today’s blog post. I am sharing this cute green tunic that I instantly fell in love with because of the beautiful green color. In my opinion FreePeople makes some of the cutest prints. However, sometimes I struggle to find practicality in some pieces that have unique silhouettes (or too short in length). This tunic is actually the perfect length, so it worked as a dress for me (as reference, I am 5’8”). I bought it because it will also be a great transitioning piece for Fall. It is too warm in SoCal to wear pants but in the Fall I will be great with legging and booties! Today I am sharing how I wore it with my favorite black espadrilles and this studded crossbody bag. These espadrilles have been the best investment. I hesitated on getting them in the Spring because $160 seems like too much for espadrilles. But, I am so glad I pulled the trigger!! Also, I feel like they make my legs look longer!

Summer Layers: Ruffle Sleeve Jacket and Cutoff Shorts

Ruffle Sleeve Jacket- Banana Republic c/o | White Cami- Banana Republic c/o | Cut off Frayed Shorts- STS Blue | Espadrille Wedges- Vince | Chain Crossbody- SheIn c/o |

Happy Hump Day everyone!
We are half way through the week and I am ready for the weekend to kick off.

Today I am sharing this look with the cutest and simplest Summer layers. Even though the days are still SUPER hot, the evenings get cool enough for a light jacket. So this outfit has been my go-to lately. Denim shorts are my favorite thing to wear in Summer. They are practical for the hot weather and can be easily dressed up. I like the contrast of the distressed denim with a simple and sophisticated white cami. However, this outfit is completely transformed with this unique ruffle sleeve jacket. It has the cutest sleeves- I am absolutely obsessed!!

Even though I don’t usually think of jackets during the Summer, they are needed. And, since it’s not necessary to bust out the heavy winter artillery a light weight jacket is a must have. This ruffle sleeve option is a soft cotton blend that doesn’t feel heavy but provides enough coverage for an evening dinner night out. I appreciate that I can wear it over any simple outfit and instantly feel like I ‘dressed up’.

This Summer has felt like it went by in a blink of an eye. However, I love that in Southern California Summer feels like it lasts up until Christmas. It’s such a cliché to say but Summer really is endless here. But, that’s what I love most about California. I can take full advantage of any Summer clothes and only have to wear light layers (heavy layers are not my friend). Which means, that this jacket will be the best transitional item for Fall!

Casa De Frida In Coyoacan Mexico: Embroidred Off The Shoulder Top

Embroidered Off the Shoulder Top- Loft | White Jeans- Express | Pink Slides- Forever21 | Chain Crossbody - SheIN c/o

Happy Tuesday!
Today I'm sharing the outfit I wore when we visited Coyoacan in Mexico. We visited Casa Azul which was Frida Khalo's house and is now turned into a museum. It's such a pretty place and the history is really amazing. I'd been there many years ago, so to be expected the experience would be different this time around.

The house is completely changed and parts that were open before were now closed off. It felt like a museum instead of a house that Frida lived in…so I didn’t appreciate all the changes. However, I loved all the displays. One of my favorites was the display of her dresses. I’ve always thought that dressing up is a way to dress up one’s attitude about life… “al mal tiempo, buena cara.” And, Frida did this with her dresses, her corsets, and the casts of her torso (that she painted and made look so beautiful). I also loved how proud she was to represent her Mexican heritage in her clothing. For example, on her wedding day she wore a traditional Mexican dress in bright colors instead of a white dress. Anyhow, she was a strong and inspirational woman…and it was awe-inspiring to be where she once suffered, loved, and overcame.

The day started off cloudy…which was normal for Mexico and we didn’t expect it to rain until later in the evening. However, when we got to Frida’s house the line was CRAZY long and it started to rain a little. We were considering leaving since we didn’t want to be caught in huge rain pour…BUT one of the workers noticed that my aunt was using a cane and offered to take us to the front of the line so she wouldn’t have to stand too long. That kind gesture meant we stayed and got to enjoy the museum.

I wore this pretty off the shoulder top with white jeans and some pink slides. I am so obsessed with the embroidery details on this top.. it doesn’t get any cuter than that! I ended up sizing down on this top because I wanted the sleeves to be tighter around my arms…I’m usually an XS Regular in Loft tops and I sized down to a XS Petite. This fit smaller and the hemline was shorter- which I preferred.

Later in the day we went to the Coyoacan Center and had lunch… we ate at a cute restaurant called Corazon de Maguey. We all tried different mixed drinks with Mezcal. It was my first time trying it and it was so good! Later I found out that Mezcal is usually taken with a worm…yea you read that right.. A WORM! I didn’t know about this tradition and I was so surprised that anyone would eat this. Another surprise was when we ordered guacamole and the waitress asked if we wanted it served this grasshoppers! Ummm… we passed on the grasshoppers and just got corn chips. Overall lunch was great and the experience was one of a kind… I didn’t expect the menu to be so unique! The

Favorite Summer Trends with Banana Republic

Happy Thursday Loves!
There is one more day until the weekend, but I'll be kick it off early by sharing a few looks to get you ready to look your best.

Today I am partnering with Banana Republic to share a couple of my favorite Summer outfits. If you follow along on my Instagram you may have gotten a sneak peek into some of these looks. However, today I am spilling it all on these cute closet staples!

I’m rounding up FIVE of my favorite Summer closet staples which include a combination of classic dresses and flattering tops. I personally love the feminine designs of the Banana Republic pieces that can easily be dressed up or down. Even though I usually lean towards casual outfits I still like to look polished. So you can usually find me in a jean and cute top combo (like the ones I'm sharing below)!

Summer my favorite season to dress for because I like how easy it can be. I like the idea of layers but don't actually like to wear them. So lightweight fabrics and simple silhouettes are the ones I will usually reach for. BUT simple doesn't mean boring. All of these pieces have unique details or cute prints that make an outfit anything but ordinary. Win and win!!

Stripe Cami Dress - Banana Republic c/o | Strappy Sandals- Steve Madden | Necklace- Gorjana |

Stripes are always a good idea- am I right?! This striped dress has been one of my favorites this season. I adore the pretty colors on this midi dress. Also, the fabric is lightweight which is perfect for those hot Summer days. I actually can’t wait to wear this dress again but I will probably dress it down. I think it will look so cute with a denim jacket and simple slides.

Scarf Print Wrap Top- Banana Republic c/o | Fringe Hem Jeans- Express | Platform Espadrille Wedges- Marc Fisher

I’ve actually already worn this top multiple times. It’s such a cute but simple design that I often reach for it. On date night I love to wear something casual yet put together. And, the easiest way for me to achieve this is with jeans and a nice top. I also appreciate that this wrap top ties around the waist. This silhouette is instantly slimming around the waist- I can totally get with that.

A Line Dress -Banana Republic c/o | Pink Straw Clutch- JCrew | Lace Up Sandals- Schutz | Sunnies- Le Spec | Necklace- Gorjana c/o

When I wore this dress I received compliments on it from two different ladies walking down the street. Hey, that means it is a winner! My favorite part are the pockets of the dress- I LOVE pockets in a dress. Also, a neutral colored dress is essential in any closet. Since it is a neutral color the look of an outfit can easily be changed with different accessories. I choose to wear it with a chunky block heel and added a pop of color with this cute pink straw bag.

One Sleeve White Top- Banana Republic c/o | Jeans- Paige | Espadrille Wedges- Schutz | Pink Straw Clutch- J.Crew |

Nothing beats a classic white top. A white top goes with everything and is a timeless staple worth investing in. This one shoulder top is super flattering and can easily be dressed up or worn casually. I love a polished casual outfit…so I wore this top with jeans. It’s an effortless and easy outfit that works for almost any occasion. This long sleeve one shoulder top is also perfect to transition into Fall!

Stripe Wrap Top- Banana Republic c/o | Jeans- Paige | Platform Cork Wedges- Donald J. Pliner c/o | Hobo Handbag- Banana Republic c/o | Earrings- Express

So I started this blog post with stripes and I'm ending it with stripes…because who can get enough- right?! I wore this top out to dinner a couple times... both times with jeans. It is also the same silhouette as the other scarf print top- and I love that! The fit is so flattering and the fabric is so easy to care for too. I’ve noticed that many of the Banana Republic pieces have easy care fabrics which don’t wrinkle easy nor have to be dry-cleaned. I’m a person that is so lazy when it comes to laundry…if I wash a piece of clothing and it has to be heavily pressed or is dry clean only…it will probably sit for a very long while. I’ve worn all the tops in today’s post a couple times already AND washed them.

If you have made it to the end of this post, you definitely need a drink or two (or a double shot coffee). But, hey it’s basically the weekend so you have definitely earned it!
