One of my favorite Summer activities is spending time at the beach. However, during the Summer months it's also imperative to think about packing the right go bag. And by go bag, I mean the right drinks to stay hydrated. So, today's blog post is focused on Summer and the importance of beating the heat and staying hydrated. 

Did you know that most Americans are chronically dehydrated?! And, that most of us don't know it. This is shocking at the very least. However, much can be done. CVS Health and The Coca-Cola Company have teamed up to help customers satisfy their body’s thirst for wellness with "Life Quenching": a movement to encourage and remind people to stay hydrated by revealing the obvious and hidden benefits of hydration.

Staying hydrated in general during the Summer is a constant effort. But a convenient stop to a local CVS can make it that much easier to keep hydration top-of-mind. 







There is little that compares to the relaxing feeling of being sea side. Hearing the waves crash, and feeling the ocean breeze. Take me to the beach any day, and I'm a happy girl. And, over the years I have mastered packing the right things to survive and enjoy my stay at the beach.

My number one tip, is to pack light and pack intentionally. This means only bring the essentials. There is nothing more annoying than lugging around a heavy load to the beach. So, keep it simple. Take a blanket, a sun hat, and ice cold drinks. 

I personally love to shop at CVS because of the ease and convenience. I am in and out in a couple minutes. The refrigerated section at CVS, where I can stock up on ice cold beverages like smartwater, and the Gold Peak tea ( I love the peach flavor- so good).

Happy Sunday!! 

Today I am finally sharing this look that I previously shared on my Instagram. Every piece of this outfit is my favorite. The white jeans are always on heavy rotation for me, this blouse I love because it's perfect for the warmer temps, these shoes are so cute and comfortable, and this bag is my newest obsession. All of these pieces, my favorites. So not surprisingly, they come together today to create a special outfit that is, in my opinion, relatively simple. 

I love the ease of wearing white jeans. In my opinion jeans are incredibly comfortable, and white jeans transform any outfit into a summery vibe. So there, comfort and chic with one clothing item. Or, at least that's how I feel about that ! And, today's outfit is just that- simple color tones and white jeans. It's a super easy outfit that looks put together and dressed up. Not having to sacrifice comfort... yes to that!! 

And, speaking of comfort let's talk about these incredibly comfortable shoes. I just adore the slip on design of these wedges and more importantly the comfort of them! Mules, by far have to be one of my favorite shoe trends right now- they are so cute! This grey pair, I particularly love because the grey shade is such a great alternative to other nude colors. 

Anyhow, hope you had a great weekend. I for one, am super excited for tonight. Two big things for television are happening tonight and I cannot wait, #sharkweek #GameOfThrones .....

Happy Thursday everyone!!

So this week has been a hot one- the heat wave is in full force and Summer is on and kicking! Usually I am such a baby about the heat, but more than anything I'm excited to be at the beach. Since this Spring was relatively cold, lots of beach days ended up being cloudy. But, now the weather is nothing sunny. Perf! That is my favorite thing about living in So Cal- the beach is always a short drive away. Yass! #helloweekend

Today I am sharing a striped set, which I adore. I love the combination of a high waisted skirt and a crop top! It's also such a light weight fabric that is perfect for keeping cool while still being dressed up. Love that! Also, I have to mention that these sling back wedges are such a great buy- they are suede and under $50. They have been on constant rotation lately, and I just can't believe how inexpensive they are. 

Anyhow, I am so happy it's almost the weekend. I can't wait to get some vitamin sea!!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Today I'm sharing some snaps from a recent trip to Rosarito, Mexico. It was a quick weekend trip, yet it was really relaxing! I forget how close it is to So-Cal, yet it's such a nice quirky town that makes you feel like you've escaped daily life. I also, got to eat lobster for the first time! Which is a big deal, because I am not a big fish fan- the smell always gets to me. However, I was feeling adventurous and tried the lobster and it was awesome, paired with beans, rice and homemade tortillas- anything is the bomb.com. Haha 

Anyhow, I was able to wear some of my favorite beach time favorites. Anddd, I just had to share! I adore beach cover ups because they are multifunctional ...they are perfect as day outfits too! Like this tunic I'm wearing, I wore it over a bikini and like this to go and explore the town.

Today's post is a continuation from yesterdays beach look. Because, part of wearing a bikini is finding a cute cover up to lounge in- just saying. 

So this cover up, is actually a tunic that is supposed to be more of a shirt. However, I loved the eyelet detail on it, that I figured it would be perfect as a cover up! So I sized up for a longer fit. 

There is just something about wearing white at the beach- which makes it feel so easy breezy. Especially for cover ups, it's nice to have a neutral color that will match with all kinds of bright swimwear. Sometimes functionally makes sense .

Today's post is all about that Summer time- because it's the perfect time to express your self! I personally love taking advantage of the warm weather to take a sudden trip to beach, relax listening to music, and enjoying an ice cold Coca-Cola™.

Music is one of favorite ways to relax, and I can't help but feel nostalgic when I hear certain songs that remind me of special memories. I remember begging my parents to take me to the beach, and when they finally did it was all fun! Back then, we would take a boom box to play music. Which was always such a chore to carry and to make sure to pack the extra batteries. Nowadays it's much easier to share a song at the beach. Talk about technology making life easier, and I'm all about making life easier.

Today, spending time at the beach remains as one of my favorite summer time activities. Anddd, of course every great day trip requires some basic essentials...

My Summer Beach essentials always include 5 basics:

1.One big bag  (to pack all the essentials-obvi )                            
2.Big Floppy Hat ( to protect from the sun !)                                 
3.Beach towel ( for laying down to tan AND to nap )                     
4.A fully charged cell phone ( for pics and music )                          
5.The perfect snack & ice cold drinks ( happy belly, happy heart )

I personally love shopping at Albertsons because it's so convenient and it's the perfect retailer to make a pit stop at to fill my beach bag with snacks- one stop and done.
