Happy Frrrriidayyy!!

This week has gone by way too quickly! They say when you are having fun time flies...but I don't think I'm having that much fun lol. I feel like it was just friday...but oh well, who doesn't love the weekend!? Today I am sharing a bright highlighter look. This outfit has all my summer favorites: neon, gladiator sandals, and leopard! A perfect combo to start the weekend (in my opinion)!!

My sister and I were recently talking about trends. It seems like trends come and go way to quickly- like stuff is too easily disposable. Especially with social media! I love trying new trends but I also like pieces that will stay in my wardrobe season after season. I find it is better to invest in pieces that you know you will wear often, that truly represent YOU and YOUR personality. Neon has always been a favorite of mine, year after year I gravitate towards it. Leopard pieces are a must have for me..after all, leopard is a neutral! Gladiator sandals are a newer trend that I feel will be part of my closet for a while to come- they are super comfy and add an edgy vibe to any outfit. I think it is easiest to buy trends that are already a representation of our style.. that way they remain in your closet longer- because the trend matches YOU and not the season. (if that makes any sense).

Any how, I was trying to plan my Fall shopping list ( so I won't over buy). I was trying to narrow down some of my must haves, to must have for years to come. It just makes more sense to buy something that could be an investment in the long run. Especially with all the sales happening this weekend... I am trying my hardest to be smart shopper and not an impulsive one.

Happy weekend... and may you find great Labor Day Sales !

Retail Therapy: Camo Livin'

Saturday, August 23, 2014

Top- Style Lately c/o | Necklace- SoCal Gems c/o | Jeans- old (similar here) | Bag- Rebecca Minkoff (similar here) | Bracelet- Happy Jewelry c/o | Sandals- Shoe Mint |

Happy Saturday! TGI..Weekend!

I am so excited its the weekend!! Even though my weekends tend to be relatively bussy, I still need the idea of a break to keep me sane. I feel like I have been backed up with "to do" lists that never seem to be crossed off. And it is starting to sink in that summer is almost over (every time I say that or mention it in my blog I have a tiny panic attack- where did the year go!? Yesterday I saw pumpkin sugar cookies at Starbucks...umm too soon!)

Sooo when life gets rolling , I get silly. Yes, SILLY. I am a goff ball that is always a mess. And I am a hopeless optimist that tries to believe that everything will work out. Because the reality of life is that nothing is perfect. All we can do is enjoy the journey of life and learn to laugh. I like to joke about life and try to never take anything too seriously. Which is why I love Style Lately tops so much. I am constantly falling in love with the cleaver tag lines on their tops... and when I saw a cleaver tag line on a camo print..well, I fell head over heels instantly !

Retail therapy works like a charm, always makes me feel better!!

Today I am teaming up with Velvet Heart to share a casual look that can easily transition into Fall. As much as I try to fight it, summer is slowly coming to an end. And even though it is still hot outside, Fall fashion is slowly creeping in. Don't get me wrong, I love Summer (mainly the idea of summer vaca mode haha) but I love prefer Fall fashion. I am currently in love with this rich brick color! It is definitely a must have in your wardrobe. I am also crushing on dark plums, and fuchsia colors. I feel like these are the perfect colors to transition from Summer to Fall.

I personally can't wait for temperatures to fall so I can start layering again!Layers and boots! Boots are my favorite type of shoe! So naturally they are slowly but surely making their way back into my daily outfits. Fall I'm ready for you!

This week has really gone by in a blink of an eye. Just yesterday it was August 1st... and now it's mid August. Seriously, can someone press pause!? I don't know know about everyone else, but I never want summer to end. And all this Fall fashion talk has me in shock of how time really does fly by!!

To stay in a summery mood, today I am sharing a look that is inspired by those hot summer days. I say this all the time, but it's true, rompers are the comfiest and easiest thing to wear.  I particularly love this romper because of the small Pom Pom detail ! Cuteness !! I like to have solid colored pieces like this in my closet because they are so easy to mix and match with other accessories.  As much as I like a great print, I always find my self reaching for solid colored pieces. It makes it so much easier to coordinate an outfit when I am wearing other statement pieces, like a bag or jewelry.

Another great thing about this romper, it is from White Plum.... And there is still time to enter the giveaway to win a $75 store credit to spend on anything your heart desires... Keep reading below to enter!

Dress- Gap | Bag- Kate Space via eBags c/o | Necklaces- Express (similar tassel necklaces here );
Kate Spade (similar idea here) | Sunnies- Prada | Wedges- DV by Dolce Vita ( similar here, love these nude ones! ) | Watch- Movado | Bracelet- Itchelita Jewelry c/o |

Happy Thursday everyone!

Today I wanted to share a dressier look featuring this beautiful striped tote from eBags online. At first I was concerned that the pattern in the bag would make it harder to wear. However, that is not the case! I have always gravitated toward solid colored bag, but now I know how versatile a great print can be!

I wore this bag all last weekend on a short trip to San Diego-It was so versatile! I wore this with every outift! Wore it to the baseball game, to explore the city, on a whale watching excursion and to dinner! The size was perfect to carry all my necessities: camera, snacks, sunnies, light sweater etc. I love how this bag transitions effortlessly for day to night out! ( This was the day version, just in case you missed it) We celebrated my dad's big "5-0" birthday, so naturally there was a birthday dinner to celebrate. I ended up wearing this stripped outfit for our evening out. It was so much fun!!

Monday Must: Shop

Monday, August 4, 2014

Nude// (top to bottom): Sandals // Wedges // Espadrilles // Flats //
Black// (top to bottom): Pumps // Sandals // Sandals // Espadrilles //
Leopard// (top to bottom): Pumps// Sandals// Sneakers // Espadrilles //

My basic shoe staples come in the three basic neutral colors: nude, black and of course leopard ( I a firm believer that leopard is a neutral). Basically, I am sharing this post because I realized I did not have simple strappy black sandals or neutral pumps. So these are a couple shoes I felt every girl needs NOW!

I always look for interesting styles and colors, but lets be honest, a classic silhouette and neutral color is always a necessity. A couple silhouettes I feel are the most versatile are: 1. Classic pumps 2. Strappy Sandals 3. Flats (sneakers, espadrilles, etc.) Above are some of my favorite styles (which vary in prices, psst the majority are on sale!)
