Happy Humpday !!

Today I am sharing a look that ironically is as blue as how I feel (lol- pun totally intended) . I guess being at the lake last week took a lot out of me and now I'm feeling sick. At first I thought it was some sort of allergies but today it is full throttle achy body and stuffy nose. There is nothing worse than feeling sick when it is hot- it doesn't make sense to have hot tea or cuddle up in a warm blanket. So in the spirit of summer I am comforting my self with ice cream and lots of fries :).

I love summer because it is the perfect excuse to stock up on fun printed clothing- like these super cute tie dye shorts! Tie dye clothing reminds me of being a kid, making a mess , and trying to create a masterpiece of mixed colors.  This pair is seriously the cutes pair of tie dye shorts I have ever seen- very casual chic.

We spent this past week at Lake Mohave on a family vacation adventure. ( ok, so I usually don't share to much about my personal life on my blog, but here goes any ways...) Clint and I are about to have our four year anniversary, we are not married nor engaged. However, I am always included in his family trips and adventures. This whole past week I had a weird knot in my stomach, knowing that I am not really family with all these amazing people, but somehow I am? It was odd being included in future plans for family vacations- but it was also extremely heart warming. I think all families are crazy and looney BUT they are also perfect and beautiful. It amazes me amount of love that a family can hold. And it amazes me, even more, that I can be part of multiple families.

Overalls are a piece of clothing that transports me back to the days when fashion was strictly for fun. Because honestly overalls are the most fun to wear! It is like a silly, cool kid feeling ( if that makes sense). There is something about overalls that just makes me smile. They are also extremely comfortable!! With summer in full swing, they are a cute alternative to wearing traditional shorts.

Today, I am sharing some outfit ideas for the Fourth of july. Every year I aim to find a patriotic outfit that makes sense with what I am doing that day. For the past couple years, I have primarily spent the Fourth of July at the beach- so my outfit are usually more on the casual side. This year I still do not have any plans but I do know I will be watching the fireworks somewhere... sooo I am brainstorming on a couple outfit fit for any occasion!!

I adore T-shits. They are SO VERY CHIC. Especially, this cleaver " you are the COCO to my CHANEL" t-shirt from Style Lately. The outfit possibilites for a classic white t-shirt range from casual to dressy and everything in between. I find myself reaching for t-shirts a lot more during the summer because, lets be honest, comfort wins when temperature reach 'too hot' degrees. However, comfort doesn't mean you have to sacrifice looking chic. I paired my t-shirt with a leather mini ( leather pants are traded for mini skirts in the summer in my closet). I also, wanted my outfit to be a little more girly- so, I added pink pops of color in the jewelry and the shoes. (btw these heels are so comfy, and for the price they are a steal!)
