Orange Weekend

Friday, March 28, 2014

Cami- old (similar) | Jeans- Joe's Jeans via Nordsrom Rack (similar)  | Kimono- via Nordstrom Rack (similar) | Bag- French Connection via Nordstrom Rack (similar) | Shoes- old, Free People  | Ring Michael Kors | Sunnies- old, Kate Spade | Neckalces- Kate Spade & Windsor |

Sooo..... "Orange you glad it's the weekend"?! ...I just had to say that ( this silly phrase has been on my mind all day week- seriously the "orange you glad "joke just keeps going on in my head).
Moving on, I'm also having an obsession with these type of sheer kimonos. They are the perfect spring item, beacause what says spring more than light layers and breezy fabrics? I promise you will see this trend on my blog all season- Brace your self :) .

Hope everyone has a beautiful & relaxing weekend ! Cheers!

Top - old (similar) | Jeans- GUESS | Cardigan- Target | Sneakers- Windsor  c/o | Bag- Tory Burch | Bracelet- Loft | Rings & Necklace - via TJMaxx |

Today's post is all about the sneakers! I mean how amazing are these ?! And for the price they are a steal! They are incledibly fun to wear and easily paired with solid colors. Colorblocking helps give the look a little more sophistication to contrast the print of the shoes.

It's important to have fun with what the things we wear! Adding a fun printed shoe can add a little edge to any ensemble.

I am currenntly loving these, these and these.

Maxi Brights

Dress- Windsor c/o | Bag- Patricia Nash ( similar) | Wedges- old (similar) | Watch- Michael Kors (similar) | Bracelets- Gigglosophy | Necklace- Kate Spade |

So this weekend was kind of rocky. Clint and I planned to go out to Palm Springs for the weekend... however ,we didn't make it there until late Saturday night.  So we only really got to relax for a couple hours before we came back home on Sunday. A short getaway to say the least lol. Even though we had a rocky start to our weekend, it was still nice to sit by the pool and enjoy a cold drink ( can't really complain about that ).

This weekend marked the beginning of what seems will be a hot spring/summer season. These means it is time for Maxi dresses! Today, I am sharing a current neon favorite of mine (I am seriously obsessed). How perfect are these bright colors... #hellospring !

Well I hope everyone has caught up, on the hour of sleep we lost, during these past couple days. I can't get over how drastic day light savings can be. When we turned back the clock in the Fall I could not understand why it was dark at 4pm ... and now it doesn't get dark until 7ish. It's a very confusing time... and I don't deal well with change. SO about today's look- I wanted to play around with spring time prints. I paired classic stripes with a colorful bird print , added a pop of color in the bag and kept it neutral with the shoes.

Neon Battle

Thursday, March 6, 2014

Sweater- Windsor c/o | Jeans- Seven For All Mankind (similar) | Booties- Just Fab | Sunnies- Betsey Johnson via TJMaxx | Necklace- Kate Spade | Bag- Tory Burch

So I titled this post 'Neon Battle' because the sweater is neon and the jeans are camo ... like a battle uniform...eeh eeh get it??  I hope some one sees where I was going with that one... Moving on.

When I first tasked with the complex decision of what to wear a neon striped sweater with... I instantly thought 'jeans'. Pairing jeans with a sweater, how original, I  know. SO, I paused. I put down the jeans and though long and hard about what ELSE I could pair this unicorn ( neon stripped sweater) with. Camo, like Cheetah, are in my opinion prints that can act as neutrals. Both prints mix well with colors- especially neon!
