Most days its way too hot ... of course I reach for shorts a light top to survive the hot temperatures. This summer my color staple has been mint ( no surprise there). A favorite pairing of mine has been mint and yellow-as seen here. I love how these two colors compliment each other! I also challenged my self to not make these navy striped shorts seem nautical. In my opinion navy stripes give off a nautical vibe and I really did not want to go for a predictable outfit pairing for these shorts. Hope you like it! & Hope you are staying cool in this heat. Simple Summer Mix Prints

Today's post includes some of my favorite wedges - they are my summer favorite shoe! I usually wear floral prints with solids to avoid overwhelming an outfit. In this outfit I wanted to play around with patterns and textures to make a simple outfit stand out. I like to mix spots with almost every pattern out there. My advise when mixing textures and prints is to use solid colors or subtle prints. I mean realistically speaking, what fashion police out there is going to tell us what to wear? We wear what we want, how we want- as long as we feel comfortable in it- right?!

Summer Shorts

This Summer heat is too much to handle.... except when you have shorts ... and of course some AC. These shorts are one of my favorites because I can pair them with almost anything. The color, of course, is my current crush and the lace detail adds a feminine touch to any ensemble. I have been craving a crochet pair of shorts and some high waisted denim type ones.. if any one knows of any good places to find them let me know... the summer heat is here to stay and shorts are the clothing staple of the season.
