I'm very excited about the fourth of July... mostly because of the amazing fireworks that light up the sky. For some reason my outfits have been gravitating towards this red, white and blue combo- I guess this a good thing since the red , white and blue holiday is around the corner. My travel bag is packed for what ever plans come my way for this relaxing and beautiful holiday..... My count down begins. Can you believe the 4th is next week?! eek

My Summer Essentials

Summer is on a season ( that in my opinion) is an extension of spring. Of course there are a lot more shorts that need to be worn. The hot sun can raise up temperatures pretty high (sometimes I don't even want to do my makeup it gets so hot ). For now the days have been hot and evenings windy and nights relatively cool. This outfit summarizes my summer essentials- shorts, a simple top, a lights sweater , and colorful accessories.

Pardon my obsession with Neon, And pardon me if I tend to look like a highlighter. I can't get enough. It such a fun trend! I find it best to mix neon with neutral colors- nude accents or with denim, it helps play down the overly bright shades but still makes them the focal point of any outfit. I find it easiest to find simple neon shirt or solid neon shirts and add accents like jewelry to break up the print or color.

It's getting hotter and hotter - Summer is here!! Yes, June 21st the official 1st day of summer - we welcome you with open arms, a water bottle (or pina colada) , sun screen, polka dot bikinis ( summer sexy body or not), and of course... 'men ,shoes , short skirts... woah woah ' (yes, I sing this yes on occasion) And yes the real lyrics to the Shanaia Twain song is "men's shirts, short skirts" but I prefer my distorted version...it seems more fitting when one is getting ready for the summer days to come.

There are few things that feel as good as classic jeans and a simple top. With the days heating up simple outfits are the first things I reach to when getting dressed . And of course small details or twists make  a classic even better !
